Feeding and Swallowing Therapy

We understand that when mealtimes are not going as planned it can be stressful for children and their families. Our therapist is ready to work with you and support you through these challenges.

Who Can Benefit?

Children of all ages who are experiencing difficulties related to:

  • difficulty chewing/swallowing

  • difficulty with bottle, cup, or straw drinking

  • picky eating/selective eating

  • refusal of bottle, puree, or textured food

  • g-tube weening/NG tube weening

  • gagging with food

  • poor weight gain


What are some of the conditions that may benefit from our feeding and swallowing therapy?

  • Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD)

  • Dysphagia/ Swallowing disorder

  • Neurological disorders, such as cerebral palsy or developmental delays

  • Sensory processing disorders

  • Genetic disorders, such as Down syndrome

Our Approach

We take a comprehensive and individualized approach to feeding and swallowing therapy. We work closely with each child, caregiver, family, teachers and medical professionals as needed to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their unique situation.


Our services may include:

  • Consultation

  • Evaluation and assessment of feeding and swallowing abilities

  • Development of personalized treatment plans that may include approaches and techniques like

    • SOS Approach to Feeding

    • The Get Permission Approach

    • VitalSTIM treatment

    • Kinesio Taping for oral motor strength and control

    • Oral Motor input

    • Assist in G-tube weening

    • Prefeeding exercises/exposure

  • Education and training for parents and caregivers

  • Consultation with other healthcare professionals as needed
