Meet Your Therapist

Katrina is the founder and owner of On Point Pediatric Therapy. She is a bilingual English/Spanish therapist who holds her Colorado state license and a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).  

 

Katrina was born and raised in Miami, Florida and completed her education with honors at two of the top universities in the field of Speech and Hearing Sciences. She earned her Bachelors in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Florida and Masters at Florida State University. She developed a passion for early intervention and complex feeding and communication needs through an awarded university grant as a student and in developing her thesis.

She began her career in Los Angeles, CA where she worked in a variety of clinical settings including private practice for pediatric neuro abilitation and a top Children's Hospital where she served on the outpatient rehab team and high risk infant clinic team. 

 

After 7 years of clinical experience, she relocated in 2022 to Denver, CO with her family and began On Point Pediatric Therapy. Katrina is trained, licensed, and certified in a variety of therapies including VitalStim swallow therapy, SOS Feeding approach, Get Permission feeding approach, PROMPT level 1 and 2 trained for motor speech/childhood apraxia of speech, and has had extensive additional coursework and specialized training in Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) use. She also enjoys dedicating her time and volunteering with Feeding Matters to spread awareness and advocate for children with pediatric feeding disorder in the community.

When she's not treating, Katrina enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking/camping, and spending time with her husband and two little girls.
